i reached home around 11.30pm last night. went online. chatted in msn till 12am then i went off to pig. so i cant blog. heehs xD
anyway. me, bec and alina went for the choir concert, Three, at the Esplanade!!! the first choir to perform was the Singapore Youth Choir (SYC). director, Jennifer Tham. the five songs they perform are all a cappella. its fantestic. but the most attention seeking was perhaps the second choir up to perform. the choir from japan, Gaia Philharmonic Choir. director, Ko Matsushita. there's a cappella and piano accompaniment. BUT. there's two songs, Mihara Yassa Bushi (Dance of Mihara City) & Taiwara-tsumi-uta (Strawbag Stacking Song), which brought life to the audience. its super lively, funny and extremely cute! haha. anyway. watching Mr Ko Matsushita's conducting made me super tense. his conducting is very. erm. i have no idea how to describe. action. maybe? lol. anyway. this choir was the one i've enjoyed the most :D the last choir to perform was the choir from Philipines, Ateneo Chamber Singers. well the songs sang by the first two choirs was NOT in english. so i was like, whoa its super nice and all that but i have no idea what they're singing. so the last two songs from Ateneo Chamber Singers are ENGLISH SONGS! woots. finally. english! lol. those two are, You Raise Me Up & I Believe(from St Michael Mass). this choir has only 24peeps. but they're good. although there's only 24peeps, they're as loud as the two choirs which they have around 40+. haha. dont ask me how did i know that. alina counted them. -.- haha. oh and there's 20mins interval. bec was hungry so we went to the mall for food hunting. the ushers gave us intermission passes. hees(: its cool. they have their own number!!! LOL. okay fine. im crapping :D so after the performance, we went for icecreams at the haagen daz!!! WOOTS. okay fine. i was soso cold after watching the concert. trust me i was trembling. plus we even ate icecream and sat at this table which had the aircon blowing directly at us. wooo. and yes alina and rebecca, its my fault for not bringing a jacket... |
